After completing a couple of my recent epic projects, I wanted to do some smaller, stash-busting projects, specifically, a hat. I have been wanting to this this Fake Isle Hat for a while. I knew I had one lonely odd ball of Noro in my stash as well as many colors of Lamb's Pride worsted. I just had to match two of them up. I really like how the hat turned out, and I think it's interesting to use the lighter color as the contrasting color instead of using plain black. It wouldn't have worked for this ball of Noro since most of it is black.
I didn't start knitting this hat with Justin in mind, but as I started it, I thought "you know, these really are more of Justin's colors..." and I decided to do the large size anyway so I thought he might like it. I asked him if he would wear it and he said yes, so it turned into an unexpected knit for him! I'm glad he likes it and I hope it keeps him warm later in the year.

Very nice looking hat! It's great to do some smaller instant gratification-type projects, especially when you're bogged down with big long-lasting ones.
