Yesterday after work I went on my first letterboxing adventure. I perused Letterboxing.org for letterboxes near where I work and I found a handful! Most of them are placed along the Charles River in the park areas. I was so excited! The first two boxes I found with no problems! It was SO COOL. It was really neat to look through the log books and see all of the stamps and the dates and everything.
I saw a few monuments I never took time to notice as well. I drive past this area every day, but I never knew this Richard Saltonstall monument was here.
I walked around until it got dark trying to find the boxes I was having trouble with. There were a lot of Canada Geese around. I had to take a detour on the trail, because they were blocking a part of it. I tried to cross them, but they weren't having it.
I ended up with the first stamps in my log book! I'm so excited. I cannot wait to do more of this and find more and more boxes. I already have some ideas of boxes I want to place at some point. This is a great hobby and I can see why people like it so much!
