A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon was a pretty quick, refreshing read after finished a long, slow book. My favorite character in this book is George, a husband, dad, and grandpa who is convinced he is dying of skin cancer. His doctor assures him that it is only excema, but he is convinced that it is cancer. I liked him so much, because lately I have been overly paranoid about my health and I've been scared of every ache, pain, or itch that has come along. George's paranoia causes him to do some drastic things and comes to a head in a hilarious but serious way at the end of the book. It's also about the importance of family, and I really liked that as well.
