I used a gift certificate my mom gave me for my birthday to buy a lazy kate so I could make a true 3 ply yarn. I spun up this merino roving from Woolbearers. The yarn is still uneven in places, but for the most part I'm really happy with this yarn.
My spinning is gradually getting better and more consistent, and I love how a 3 ply really helps to balance out the inconsistencies.
The only thing I don't like about 3 plying is the amount of leftovers I had when one bobbin ran out. I ended up making a baby skein of 2-ply. I'm sure I can use it for something!
Fiber: Handpainted Merino Roving from Woolbearers
Yardage: ~377 yards 3 ply, ~84 yards 2 ply
WPI: 15
Awesome! I usually will take the 3-ply leftovers and navajo ply them up. This totally makes me want to spin up mine so that we can compare results :)
