Since it is after Christmas, I can now post what I made for everyone! Last year, I knit my mom a shawl. I wanted to do something as special, but different. Since she knits too, I decided to spin her some yarn. I picked up this roving at OFFF in the summer. I didn't really have my mom in mind at the time, but I thought this would be a color she would like. I apologize, because these pictures do not do the color justice AT ALL, but I had to take indoor pictures so I could mail this off in time.
This roving was a colonial wool blend and really nice to spin. I hardly had to do any pre-drafting and it spun up very consistent and fast. My mom really likes to knit vests, so I think I came up with enough yardage for her to knit at least a vest.
